Palm Canyon (2006)
The Palm Canyon Nature Trail in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park starts in the RV campground near the visitor center. The trail is three miles long, round trip. The main attraction is the oasis of California fan palms, as well as the bighorn sheep, if you are lucky enough to see them
San Diego Zoo (2006)
We spent a day at the famous San Diego Zoo. It was a perfect day--sunny and about 60 degrees.
A trail starting at an opening in the back fence of Stagecoach Trails RV Resort took us to Cool Canyon, 0.8 miles away. This canyon (more like a desert creek with high walls) does not seem to have an official name; it was named Cool Canyon by the locals.
Anza-Borrego Desert (2006)
After leaving Oregon, our next major stop was the Anza-Borrego desert in southern California, about 80 miles east from San Diego. We stayed in the Stagecoach Trails RV Resort in Shelter Valley.
Portland and Beaches (2005)
Our visit to Portland and nearby beaches—Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach.
Scenes from two waterfalls in southern Oregon and miscellaneous shots around Gold Hill.
Visit to the Oregon coast near Brookings and swimming in the South Umpqua Falls near Tiller.
Crater Lake, Oregon (2005)
Crater Lake on top of Mount Mazama, north of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Scenes from south Oregon and north California, including the Rogue River, our stay in the tree house in Takilma, the redwoods in California, and Crescent City on the coast.
